Life flourishes when
we live in tune with Nature,
listen to our bodies, and choose
faith over fear, care over cure.
My Wellness Journey
Health Nectar was never a part of my plans. With a Masters in English Literature and a career in journalism with Delhi’s top media houses in the ’90s, I thought my path was set. But slowly, something from my past began to lead me elsewhere.
Born premature, my health was very fragile throughout childhood; nagged with fevers, bitter syrups, injections, and endless visits to doctors and hospitals. I was diagnosed with rheumatic fever at eight, then Raynaud’s Syndrome, and over the years the list only grew longer: throat infections, sinusitis, ulcers, severe indigestion, liver issues. I thought this was just how growing up was about. But as I grew older, it started affecting everything — my studies, my work, and my daily life.

Still, I wasn’t looking for answers until my mother fell seriously ill. Running from one hospital to another, exhausted and scared, one question kept coming back to me: Is there really no way out?

That search led me to my teacher, Acharya Seshadri Swaminathan. A brief 15-minute meeting with him in January 2001 changed my entire worldview about health, disease and much else about life. Under his guidance, my mother regained her health, and she could drop all the 16 pills she was taking every day for the last several years.

But soon after, my own health collapsed. By my mid-30s, I was bedridden, so weak that lifting my eyelids felt impossible. I clung on to Acharya Swaminathan’s simple words: “Leave everything to Mother Nature. Surrender." So I did. Step by step, breath by breath, I slowly came back to life — not through medicines, but by trusting Nature and my body’s own pace. To my amazement, the results never failed me. That journey changed me completely. The experience was uplifting in every way—physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

I realised healing isn’t about fighting the body. It’s about listening to it, caring for it, and living with the rhythms of Nature. When I recovered, I cared for my little daughters the same way — with natural food, gentle practices, and the healing methods my teacher had taught me.
I continued to research independently, and went on to study the allied sciences of Yoga, Naturopathy and dietetics for deeper understanding. Over time, I found myself helping friends, families, and children with their health struggles. And each time, I found that life flourishes when we live in tune with nature, listen to our bodies, and choose faith over fear, care over cure. This is how Health Nectar was born. Not as a clinic or a program, but as a space of care.

If you’re here, maybe you too are looking for relief, balance, or a kinder way to live with your own body. I’d be grateful and happy to walk a little of that journey with you.
